TE Services will transfer to municipalities in 2025
29.11.2024
Article updated on 5 December: Information about the Job Market service interruption between 30 December 2024 and 2 January 2025.
Employment and Economic Development Offices (TE Offices) will be discontinued starting from 1 January 2025. In the future, services for the unemployed and jobseekers will be provided by employed by employment regions formed by multiple municipalities.
The change does not require any actions from individual clients. Client information will automatically transfer from the TE Offices to the municipality’s employment services. The transfer does not affect your registration status as an unemployed jobseeker.
The change does not affect the processing of earnings-related allowance applications nor the payment of unemployment benefits. Benefits will continue to be paid based on the labor policy statements issued by the employment authority.
Registration as a jobseeker will continue to be carried out through the Job Market E-services and the customer service points.
Attention! Job Market E-services will be temporarily unavailable from 30 December 2024 to 2 January 2025. If your unemployment or layoff begins during this period, please register as a jobseeker no later than 29 December 2024.
